OSX Password at boot

If you go into System Prefs and Accounts, toggle the padlock and select "Login Items" If "automatically log in as" is checked, uncheck it. If you havent done so already you can use the accounts options to set a password too.

If you log out (even if you haven't set a boot password) it will also ask for a password.. this is the Admin password you set up with the Mac :)

theres a firm ware password util that I use on my macbook thats very useful, it will ask for a password even before booting to the os. this will stop people booting to your boot camp partition (if you have one), target disk mode and of discs ect....
