Hi, mentioned this before on here but still having similar problems on osx...

When i go to print any document a process called PrintJobMgr causes my temps to increase massively and records 90%+ CPU usage. Any explanations on why this can happen or possible solutiions as to solve it? Its very very annoying. Anytime i want to print anything my fans roar up to 6000rpm due to this large cpu usage surge. Very very strange.

canon ip5200 here - must be something with the canon printers perhaps. Its most annoying I have to say! Fans have been going quite a bit of late - apparently this was occurring for some people after an update released around a month ago but im not too sure on the truth about that.

Yeah I have a Canon and the same happens for me as well - I think they just don't know how to write good drivers! This has been happening since I got my printer quite some time ago too.

Thankfully my printer only cost £30 so when the ink runs out in the bin it goes and i'll go back to Epson...or maybe HP :p

I have no problems when I use the printer on windows! Aside from the problems on the mac i have to say that canon printers are really excellent

You guys using the built-in printer drivers, or are you installing them?

I usually recommend not installing any of the drivers on the OS X disc, and installing the latest version from the manufacturers manually.

Ok, so it's less inconvienent but it might solve the problem

Lucky I don't have that issue with my HP deskjet I got via the £60 rebate!

Yeah i'm using the drivers from the site, don't think it would even work without them. Also why I rate Epson over Canon is because the prints from this smudge even after they've had like 2 days to dry, it's really odd
