Yep that's the tv I have

360 is connected to it via component and I game at 720p

Got the same TV, works through 1080i and 720p like a dream, i heard that with a firmware update or something it may be able to do 1080p in the future, but dont hold me against this, cant remember where i read this but i was a bit skeptical.

Not looked at the specs as I'm a lazy git :p but surely if the display only has say 1366 * 768 pixels then it cannot support 1080i/p?

:o

True, not enough pixels so I think it scales it down. I say I think because I don't have any 1080 capable sources apart from the 360, and what's the point of the 360 scaling it up only for the TV to scale it down?

It does 1080i according to the manual sitting here on me desk anyway :D

must be scaled then as the Sammy website shows it only supporting a max res of 1366 * 768 :(

So i take it been scaled doesn't look very good or something. I really should read more about HD

No no no! It looks fantastic, but if you are going to use it for the 360 stick in 720p! Natively the 360 renders in that anyway so its pin sharp. If you set the 360 and the TV to 1080i the 360 will upscale the picture anyway, and then the TV will descale it again. So you end up with the 360 working harder than it needs to.

Cheers lads, thats all i needed to know :)

i've got the 26" version.

you won't be disapointed with it :)

am I the only one who DAILY uses the cloth provided to wipe the dust off it? :p

Can't you just use the VGA cable and set the 360 output resolution to 1366 * 768?

Scalers in some LCD TV's can be a bit hit and miss and I'd always prefer the 360 to carry out and scaling.

you probably could. but i use the VGA port to plug my PC into it so i watch my dvds on it etc :)

but at 720p with the component cable i can reasurre you that it looks awsome! :D

fight night round 3 looks so real its quite scary! and the explosions in ghost recon are amazing

I do also but i find that i give the tv static electricity when i do it so dust comes off the cloth lol!
