Ok, so forums that you're hooked on but are a little ashamed to admit to?

My first is www.mumsnet.com/talk which is just filled with the most rabidly mental woman surely to ever exist. There is the occasional normal post but many are firmly in the WTF? territory. It can also be incredibly amusing when one of the herd steps out of line and is stampeded by the others. It's total carcrash forum goodness and I love it.

My other guilty pleasure is www.abovetopsecret.com which is filled with mentalists but of a different kind. I'm sure you're familiar with the site itself so I won't go into details but I think it's probably unique in that it's the only place I can think of that discusses (debatably) interesting ideas but most of the posters are beyond certifiably insane.

So, which forums do you visit that you're embarrassed about?

LOL

ZZZ, can your dd tell you if she feels scared by the voice, or even if she answers back to it or not?

I hear, or perceive voices in my mind, and (hoping not to sound amazingly crazy) they sometimes sound like my own thoughts - but address me by name - for example 'indigo, blah blah blah'. Sometimes they sound like a different vibration - i.e older male, female etc. So, I can hear them in my mind, but not as if it were outside my body IYSWIM. I consider myself to be 'normal' if there is such a thing, but also I am an energy healer and IME my radar is fully open to these things. One thing I have done is to ask the Angels to 'screen my callers' so that only loving energies can contact me. Yes, I am fully aware of how woo woo this all sounds, but it has worked for me.

I certainly don't want to scare anyone here, this is just my experience.

I'm not sure if it should be encouraged, everyone has a different point of view on these things. It can however be scary when you are a parent and it's hard to tell exactly what is going on. I do believe what Fing has said re leaving it, unless it is disturbing her life. Then you might wish to seek help?

Sweet lord.

I'm guessing 'Domestic Children'. 'DH' and 'DP' are 'Domestic Husband' and 'Domestic Partner' respectively. Not worked out what 'DD' is yet mind.

That forum seems to be full of bat-crazy narcissists branding everyone else as narcissistic. Incredibly unsettling undertones of misandry on there too. Not sure I'll be going there again, don't exactly need any negative views of the other gender reinforced any more than they already are.

Cool thanks, I was having a hard time understanding who did what and where with all those D* everywhere!

replace domestic with "dear" there nix
Ahaha, but domestic sounds much more fun!

Completely pointless abbreviation then if you as me. I've seen 'DV' being used for violence, not telling me that's 'Dear Violence' are you?

To me, that forum does seem like this one in many respects, except it's for women. What distrurbs me though is where on here we banter and the humour has been genuinely misinterpreted as abuse to the uninitiated, I find it hard to believe the 'similar jokey' comments on there are actually that but are instead genuine vitriol.

I think we've stumbled upon the high-brow Jeremy Kyle of the internet.

EDIT:

It's nearly 6am and I'm somehow now listening to Cher of all things. Right, that's it... time for bed! Lest I waste another day off. Night chaps.

Dear Daughter and Dear Son. Domestic sounds like some sort of Japanese robo-family you can buy off the shelf :D

I agree that mumsnet is populated by frothing, half-crazed mothers with massive sleep-deprivation issues. About 75% of them are living vicariously through their kids, too :D

I visited there for the first time recently to ask a genuine question on something. over the next couple of hours, I was inboxed by all manner of Venemous Harridan voicing thier opinion.

It's darling.
DH - darling husband
DD - darling daughter

Etc etc.
Both mumsnet and netmums are a joke tbh.

I love trolling Mumsnet......it is one of my guilty pleasures.

Other than that OCuk is the only forum I frequent, all the others are simply not moderated well enough and are too full of rubbish.
