Without sounding xenophobic, are there any for UK peeps?

MacRumours seemed to be all about the US side of Apple, rather than us poor relations in dear old Blighty!
 
macrumors is international, but there are a lot of US users there. what are you going to be using it for? there's very few instances where your country of origin makes a difference in maconversation (I'm so lame)

So, there is no difference from say a MacBook bought in the UK, to one from the US?

only where you have to take it back and a [slight] difference in keyboard layout.

there's some incredibly helpful people on there - really helped get me off the ground when I started using OSX
