Other OSs

So i think everyone has used windows and macs. I am currently playing about with linux.
But i am wondering if anyone has played about with BSD and Solaris(?) if so anyone know what the hardware and software compatibility is like?
I will probably continue using windows/ubuntu dual boot but am interested to try others just to say i have lol

now testing FreeBSD in VM, tried solaris before it ok, but to the untrained newb like me, its hard to tell difference between bsd, solaoris linux when you just using the desktop.

Let me know how the bsd goes and if you have any problems with getting drivers and stuff
