Other things that would work on the Virtual Console (Idea)

Say there's a game that coming out in a few months on the Wii. Just for an example lets say COD3. Wouldn't it be good if little promotion games were made to get people excited like a small 2D side scrolling COD shootem up and because it would be made for publicity in aid to sell COD3 when it came out it would be free for all to download and play.

i think this has heppened before in some form

i think it was a side scroller called codename: gordon which was released a few months before half life 2, wasn't all to bad a game infact
