OTPs and porting

Is everyone aware of an issue that when you port your number to a new network you are unable to receive OTPs from banks, google, credit card companies etc? I regularly port my number and am now experiencing this. . . . .
 
You might need to port out again. Or try your luck with your MNO's customer service in the hope they'll know how to fix the issue.

Your number is always owned by the original operator it come with, and porting essentially creates a divert to the new MNO from the original. Sometimes this goes wrong, and from experience, porting out and then back in is quicker, if a little hassle!
 
thx. any where I can read in writing that the number is owned by the original number it came from?
HMRC own all UK numbers, Ofcom manage them, UK operators buy access to blocks of numbers from Ofcom and continue paying for access to all numbers within the block even when no longer servicing the number.
