PSU or the mainboard? thanks

PSU is this one: http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/psu/xxx/P1-650X-CAG9.aspx

board in my sig :mad::mad::mad:

It took out one of my sticks of ram last week - just got them sorted from rma and this happens :confused:

The vrm's on the mainboard used to make a lot of noise under load sometimes - so i may have to kiss both goodbye :(

Think it was the PSU power connector that got too hot to handle the load - pffft XFX!

lol - it stunk!!

Anyways I've RMA'd the PSU along with a note asking for compensation from XFX :)
Prob gunna do the same with the board and let them fight it out who owes who lol

Some guy on another forum showed me his gigabyte - EXACTLY the same fault - after he'd RMA'd the board to gigabyte they diagnosed it as a blown capacitor which in turn caused this!! :eek:

Either Asus owe me a new PSU or XFX owe me a new Motherboard.

LOL - I couldn't wait and ended up buying the Crosshair IV and a Corsair 850Watter in the meantime, lol - hope this crosshair IV has better caps!
