Anyone any idea what would cause this please?

It took out one of my sticks of ram last week - just got them sorted from rma and this happens

The vrm's on the mainboard used to make a lot of noise under load sometimes - so i may have to kiss both goodbye

Think it was the PSU power connector that got too hot to handle the load - pffft XFX!

lol - it stunk!!

Anyways I've RMA'd the PSU along with a note asking for compensation from XFX
Prob gunna do the same with the board and let them fight it out who owes who lol

Some guy on another forum showed me his gigabyte - EXACTLY the same fault - after he'd RMA'd the board to gigabyte they diagnosed it as a blown capacitor which in turn caused this!!

Either Asus owe me a new PSU or XFX owe me a new Motherboard.

LOL - I couldn't wait and ended up buying the Crosshair IV and a Corsair 850Watter in the meantime, lol - hope this crosshair IV has better caps!
