Meet Martha our wire haired Dachshund. she is almost 4 months now and we got her at 11 weeks old.






















'she is loads of fun and its like having another child in the house, but she brings the ball back!

cheers guys, we chose a wire haired because they drop very little and are a little more rugged looking. originally they where used as badger baiters so tough little things even if they dont look it.

Great looking dogs. How did you find the house training?

still has the occasional accident, but fine really, best thing is to get rid of the scent so she didnt associate anywhere in the house to being her place to go. we have hardwood floors so easy to mop any accidents. She gets very excited when i get home from work and sometimes does an excited wee, which is funny but a little bit of a pain. for a hound she is useless at finding things hehe, but im sure she'll get better. one thing I am enjoying is other dog walkers cant believe I have her off lead as hounds are a pain to off lead train, but she comes back every time I call her.
