Sporting the NVIDIA GTX 765M, the OcUK Piranha delivers and is one of the most powerful gaming laptops under 14" in size. Only 31mm thin and weighing only 2kg, the 13.3" OcUK Piranha laptop delivers the perfect balance of gaming performance and portability at an affordable price.
Small in size and big in features, the OcUK Piranha features a True HD LED backlit LCD display with a native resolution of 1920x1080, really bringing games and blu-ray movies to life. Sound is superb through the ONKYO dual stereo speakers with audio SoundBlaster Cinema technology delivering clear, loud and stunning audio reproduction.
Under the hood, there are few options for processor, the Intel i7-4700MQ quad core processor with a base clock rates at 2.4GHZ (up to 3.4GHZ via Turbo Boost technology), Intel i7-4702MQ quad core (2.2 to 3.2GHz) processor, Intel i7-4800MQ quad core (2.7 to 3.7GHz) processor or up to Intel i7-4900MQ quad core (2.8 to 3.8GHz) processor. Inside, the new Intel HM87 chipset supports up to 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 SDRAM, providing ultimate power and fast performance for hard gaming sessions.
The OcUK Piranha Gaming laptop comes with a new rigid high quality material for construction and a classic design. On the left side, there are USB port, audio jack and microphone jack, while on the other side, you will find three USB 3.0 port, VGA port, RJ 45 for Ethernet, HDMI output port with HDCP support and multimedia card reader slot with supports SD, Mini-SD, RSMMC, SDHC, MMC, SDXC, MS Pro, MSand MS Duo formats. For connectivity it includes 10/100/1000Mb Base-TX Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 AGN wireless LAN, with other wireless options that can be selected from the drop downs.
Like other Intel Haswell machines, the newest OcUK Piranha Gamer 13.3 inch gaming laptop also comes with a Intel Anti-Theft, Intel Rapid Start and Intel Smart Response technology. Yeah, this is a great laptop that offers ultimate graphics performance and portability.
Our recommended specification for gaming is Intel 4700MQ processor, 8GB of 1600MHz RAM, 60GB mSATA SSD Boot drive and 500GB or larger secondary drive. This laptop can take upto 2x mSATA drives and 2.5" laptop HDD. In common with smaller laptops there is no built-in ODD drive, but an external USB2.0/USB3.0 external ODD drive will work fine.
