Can anyone think of any reason why my system occasionally boots in to the UEFi screen?

ASUS Prime Z270-A Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz (was running at 4.4)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980
EVGA SuperNova G2 750W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply

Mobo battery replaced,
Checked voltages on PSU .
RAM verified on Memtest.
I've ran Prime blend on stock setting, just as a stock test.
I even reinstalled Windows from a fresh image.

All I do is hit cancel and it boots fine. As I said, it's an intermittent problem but all my checks have come back fruitless.

If it's the keyboard issue, it's probably the system booting too fast before the keyboard comes up and gets detected, then stops because it didn't detect the keyboard. You might have to play with the USB detection settings so the system does a full detection of USB devices, rather than a fast detection.

Usually it will boot straight into the bios when it cant find a boot device, could be a sign you hard drive is failing, try another sata cable and a different connector from your PSU.
