Tried 2 different monitors each time pc loads up to the Windows loading bar and then just as it is about to loads windows the monitors come up with "Out of Range" I have tried to get the base unit into Safe mode without success, as again it starts to load then comes up with the above message.

Can someone suggest anyway I can get the base unit to display a range that either monitor can see - by the way both monitors are TFT and can display 1600 x ... Or is it a more serious Windows problem? The base unit is an Overclockers unit and is inside the warranty but I have installed wifi and other components additional to the original spec obv these have been working for some time. Except for now I have the above problem

Your advice appreciated

do you have onboard video? try another port on your pc

had this problem on my mum's dell, it would show graphics until windows loading screen, then it would turn off, disabled onboard, and worked fine

As explained above I cannot get it into safe mode as windows starts to load and then the out of range appears so you cannot see anything in order to be able to reset.... In respect of the above post if I disable the on board graphics will that enable me to get past this problem.. could it be a virus ? My reason for asking is that the pc is my sons he said he was on the Internet then this message came up and he switched the pc off.
