Hi guys

My current pc (AMD Phenom X4 9950, 4gb DDR2 & GTX260) is starting to give up the ghost after 4 years of valiant service so I'm speccing up a replacement. I pay zero attention to what's going on tech wise between builds but after reading about I've pretty much decided on what I'm getting.

Current plan is as follows:
3570k
Gigabyte Z77x-d3h mobo
Kingston HyperX Genesis 8gb
Gigabyte 670
Samsung 840 Pro 256gb
Asus Xonar D2X
Samsung SATA DVDRW (Still on IDE atm and it's on it's way out)

And reusing my Antec 300 case (about the only component I have you can still buy) and WD 2tb hd.

My last 2 motherboards have been Asus and have both performed flawlessly but I've seen this Gigabyte board highly recommended on here so would it be a better choice than Asus' current similarly priced offerings? I'd like the option to SLI in the future and a full ATX board.

If I can I'd like to reuse my current PSU to save some money, however it's a 4 year old Corsair 620W HX and is ATX12v v2.2. I've seen there are newer ATX versions out now so would the connectors be compatible with my choices or am I going to need a new PSU?

I'd also like recommendations on a good value, quiet CPU cooler.

Thanks.

Thanks guys, I um'd and arr'd about the 670 or 7950 but in the end chose on the 670 due to good experiences with Nvidia and bad ones with AMD/ATI so that's decided now.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking about the mobo, when I bought my last Asus ones they were the ones to get whilst now that seems to be the Gigabyte one above, but I have zero experience with their boards.

So my PSU should be alright then? I know it's fine wattage wise but I'm just worried about the plugs not being compatible due to being an older version.
