Out of these 2 PC rigs, which of them will be less outdated?

Out of these 2 PC rigs, which one will last longer? When I mean longer, I mean which one will be outdated quickly?

First rig:
AMD FX 8350
ASUS ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard
16GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
1TB 7200rpm Wester Digital HDD
128GB SSD Samsung
550W SeaSonic PSU

Second rig:
Intel i7 3770k
Asus P8Z77-V Intel Z77 Motherboard
16GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
1TB 7200rpm Wester Digital HDD
128GB SSD Samsung
550W SeaSonic PSU

The first one will date quicker.

But also 12GB of RAM is a strange amount to have.

Both are good, but the i7 is better
Why is there 12gb RAM?? One 4gb module/ kit and one 8gb module/ kit?
If there is 3 modules, it won't run in dual channel

The 12GB of RAM is confusing. Really it should be either 8GB or 16GB.

The i7 will definitely age better.. Though it depends what your uses are. What are they?

The 3770k will last you til you next want to upgrade for sure

By 3D design do you meaning CAD? If so the 3770k would prevail.. If it's 2D graphics the 3570k would still be more than enough more your needs..

What Graphics card do you have?

theres about 130 pounds difference between AMD and Intel cpu... so obviously 2nd rig would last longer... so would 3970x...
