My current pc is a quad core q6600 with 8gb ram and a radeon hd5850. I was fancying something more up to date but im so out of touch at the moment. I was playing far cry 3 but it doesnt run as smooth as id like, it is a 5 year old pc now though.

I have a decent monitor so im looking for just a nice powerful all round speedy gaming rig. The case must be not a lot taller than an antec 900 couple inch max as i have a unique desk that it fits into.

My budget is around £1500 and i would like 32gb ram if it benefits?

Any advice much appreciated, i cant build it myself also as i dont have the skill nor the patience.

for me i'd use the same case as its a good one, just add a new psu.

will spec you a nice one as your budget is good.

Unless your 3D rendering, using VM's. photo/video editing, I dont think you'll beifit from 32Gb of RAM. It is however, your money. :D

Just had a go at the Intel Z77 Ivybridge 10100i Configurator and for your requirements I'd probably go for something like this:

- Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Dominator Case - Black
- Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM
- Stage 3: Overclock of CPU - 20% Overclock (Processor speed x1.20)
- Alpenfohn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler
- Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 EX OC 2048MB GDDR5
- Samsung 250GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM
- OcUK 24x DVD+RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM
- OnBoard Sound Card
- Corsair TX 650 V2 Bronze PSU
- Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit DVD - OEM
- Fully Cable Managed
- Tech Labs Zaward OEM 120mm Golf Ball Fan
- Op Out of FREE Software

Comes to about £1,501.82 inc. VAT

If all you do is game then the 3570K is enough, spend the cash on a decent GPU instead. Also as said there really is no need for 32Gb RAM for most people.
