Does anyone have much experience buying outdoor furniture?

I'm looking for some pieces to go on my decking like a sofa set and some chairs, there's tons of companies out there but it all looks the same but prices vary quite a bit. I need something that can stay outdoors pretty much all year round and I was thinking about synthetic rattan furniture like this:

We have a Rattan set; a 3 seater, two single chairs and a table with a glass cover. They are very comfortable and very easy to keep clean. Leaving it outside is fine, just remember to put the cushions indoors :)

The only point I will say is although they 'can' stay outdoors all year your better off getting some sort of cover for the lot otherwise they will look tired after one year, that's why I bought teak stuff as it genuinely can stay out doors all year and needs looking at every 5 years.

Yeah I will definitely get a cover - I don't have a huge amount of space so wooden furniture would be a bit of a squeeze sadly.

Can anyone recommend any retailers or do they tend to be very similar?

I have a huge teak set and it now looks very tired and has gone completely grey. How do you "restore" it?

The synthetic rattan doesn't feel very nice, it's just a step up from a plastic chair.
Some teak chairs fold up for storage, so they could go back in the loft or sit under a cover (raise them off the floor to stop them getting damp).

Yacht deck cleaners are something i had not considered actually, nice idea. I am guessing my parents must have a load of that type of stuff which i might be able to steal (their yacht has teak decks).

In Turkey ATM and they have seating areas called Kosk and can be quite easily and cheaply built out of decking wood and removable cushions. They're very comfortable and look really nice. I'm going to build one on my decking :)

I went for a cast iron Bistro set because there's no need to treat it yearly and no need to store indoors during winter. Hassle free, classic look, ideal for me...
