Anyone any ideas?

I wana store my 29er in a different location in the garden, its too much of a hassle getting it in and out of a shed, i want a low cost way of storing the 29er securely somewhere in the garden.

Any ideas?

Secure or hassle free, pick one I'm afraid.

If you don't want to put it in a shed, then locking it to a properly installed ground anchor is the way to go, but decent locks and chains don't come cheap. I'd also argue faffing with unlocking them each time is more hassle than getting something in and out of a shed. It also wouldn't be protected from the elements.

I think the least hassle situation is a small Asgard shed or a Cyclepod+, but you're looking at £4-500 for either of those. I guess it depends on the value of your bike and how sad you'd be if it got nicked.

If it's currently in a wooden shed, it's fair to say they don't offer much security anyway so either of the above options would be better than that.

A quick and easy secure method is to fill a large bucket with cement, with a strong chain going into it and wait for it to set.. Wrap the chain in an old inner tube to avoid it scratching your frame, and wrap it through the frame/wheels etc, and secure with a decent padlock.
