Outlook 2003 Help

I've got two accounts setup with Outlook 2003.

What I want ideally is when I launch Outlook, and be greeted with a "logon" page, where I can select from a drop down menu, click on which e-mail account I want to check, and enter the password.

Another thing is, when I click Outlook, it doesn't prompt me for a password for my e-mail account (I'm assuming it's the primary account). This is a bit worrying!

Third, how do I switch from account to account. Say if i'm in account x e-mail and I want to check account y e-mail, how? (they're both setup and working)

How do I logout of the account? Is it a simple close Outlook and bob's your uncle?

Lastly, how do I minimise Outlook such that it minimises to the quick launch dock, and runs in the background and alerts me of any mail?

Thanks :)

Sounds like you're probably wanting to set up separate profiles for each mail account, rather than having both set up in the same profile.

Also, you can change the minimising behaviour by right-clicking on the Outlook icon in the bottom-right and toggling "Hide when minimised"

Mmm...how do I do this profile you suggest?

Control panel...mail.....profiles....add,
and then add one email account to one profile.

I think outlook will then prompt you for a profile when starting.

edit: damn beaten to it. :)

What about password. I did the profile, no problems. But I can just click on any profile, it doesn't prompt me for a password.
Furthermore, how do I change between profiles?

as to which profile to use...

in control panel... mail....

prompt for a profile to be used. If you have that set already then I think you have to exit outlook and restart to change profiles.

As for your password issue - you have to remove your password from outlook-- tools, email accounts and then change the email account. You will find your password stored here - just remove it.

If you want what you describe in your original post then I can only think of a simple script to do this which will prompt for email account, or to use a different email client.
