Outlook 2003 keeps starting on boot - (clean install)

anybody help

just done a factory restore of my laptop,

applied all the patches then installed office 2003

everytime i boot it goes straight into outlook 2003,

the application is not in startup and cannot find.

I even went via control panel - changed the installation and removed outlook the application , re-booted all seemed fine, re-installed outlook via add/remove and it done the same again.

Even tried creating a new user and by default it does it again

any ideas

Isnt there an option in Outlook settings to run at start up? I cant check for you as I havent got it installed.

Run it and uncheck the Outlook option.

so from the above post

something in the SONY is causing the mail application to load on startup

at this point in time it is outlook express that is loading and only after I have patched the system with SP2.

If i leave it unpatched then nothing, but thats no good

this is driving me nuts

Have you downloaded StartupCPL?
Much simpler.

Even Autoruns will show you EVERYTHING that starts up.
(StartupCPL just gives the commonly used startups)

I have never had this before , must be something to do with SONY

if you read the whole post

its OE that is loading ,

so office 2003 has nothing to do with it
