Outlook 2003 shared calendar problems

OK as per title I'm having some problems with shared calendars in one of my departments.

Whats happening is that a particular department has a shared calendar.

There are 8 users in this room. 7 of these users are seeing the updates on the calendar seconds after a change is made. However 1 user in the room is not seeing these updates unless he send/receives several times, even then it could take upto 30 seconds to change.

Being such an active calendar, often another member of staff will make a change, the user with the slow response will not see this change, make his own change and overright the other person.

I hope im making sense.
THe company has recently been completely recabled so each user has the same network path to the server cabinet switch.

Any ideas what this could be? This happens even on a freshly installed workstation

EDIT - all users are on exchange cached mode

Try removing cached mode and also allow outlook through windows firewall or disable windows firewall. I came across a problem where outlook would be slow on receiving mail because the firewall was doing some form of blocking
