having a little bit of a problem with outlook 2003 and no idea why

i have 2 accounts which ihave set up in outlook. on my main pc the accounts are automatically sorted into seperate folders, each with its own inbox, sent, spam etc, however on my laptop there is no such thing and all emails are put into one inbox.

i have look but can't find how to seperate them. Anyone able to help me out with this?

Dont know if this is quite what you mean sorry if not but if go into the properties of your account and then General tab you can send from one mail address and recieve into another . ie send from your default and recieve via say Yahoo so as not to get your main account spamed rather than set rules up .. Again sorry if I have the wrong end of the stick.

unfortunately this isn't what is wrong.

i have more the one account for outlook set up, so [email protected], and [email protected],

on my pc i have a set of folders for each account, e.g.
- [email protected]
inbox
outbox
sent
spam

- [email protected]
inbox
outbox
sent
spam

however on my laptop all i have is

- personal folders
inbox
sent
spam
deleted
etc...

which is for both accounts i have set up so both hotmail and gmail new mail go into the inbox, sent goes into the sent etc, making it very hard to stay organised. i have looked into rules but this is very ugly and sitll doens't work as good as it does on my pc with the seperate folders.

Tools > Email Accounts, and then for each account, you specify which Outlook pst to put emails? You should see two accounts listed, and a drop down list that shows your pst files.
Highlight each account and change the drop down list to choose the pst you want the account to use.
If drop down list only shows one 'Personal Folder' then click on the New Outlook Data File button and choose the pst file you want to add.
To get two set of folders, you should have two pst files.
