Hi

Has anyone else seen this? I've had my rig running for 2 weeks & just today I had 2 Outlook freezes. Just after opening an email, I click the delete button & it freezes. I tried the Office diagnostic feature but it said everything was fine. Nothing has changed on the system since yesterday.

My reliability figure will take a hit again. :(

what operating system ect are you running, perhaps we can help then, i myself am using windows vista ultra (64bit) and use outlook 07 with nps what so ever... a little more info would help you as well as us

Thanks for your replies.

OS in the sig, Vista 32bit Business.

Vista is a clean install on new hardware, Office is 2007 Enterprise.

I've done some testing & think it may be related to sleep mode on the pc. I don't usually use this, but today I manually put it to sleep. I normally shut down, or just leave the pc on. Could also be related to the ATI drivers & their recovery from Sleep mode.

its not a dodgy email ?? how have you set your security options, does the whole pc freeze or jsut outlook ?

Hi

I don't think it's a dodgy email, it's happened on 2 simple mails.

Just Outlook freezes - both the message & main Outlook windows. Task Manager however does not display Outlook as not responding.

Which security options? My Outlook security settings are out-the-box.

Security software is Nod32 & Windows Defender.

aha i got a sneaky fealing its to do wiht nod, now and again, when im resieving emails, mine sort agoes slow, also when opening some emails, its becuase when you do anything to do whith emails, it goes through nod first, and i also feal nod is not 100% working corectly with vista yet, god knows how they got there certification for it. you should check out the nod forums, there is some intesting reading on there.
hope it helps
