I have 2 logons to my Vista Home Premium machine but when my wife logs onto her account Outlook is not responsive at all, it just seems to "hang" not even closing Outlook makes it close down. My Outlook works perfectly.
Machine specs is dual core cpu, Vista Home Premium - 64 bit, 4 gig RAM.
Other than Outlook problem my machine seems to work great.
I have recently reformatted and have all the latest updates.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Does your wife have a lot of mail? I've noticed Outlook becomes a little unresponsive for me from time to time, since I imported all the mail from my Gmail account into it. I haven't found a fix as its usually okay again after a restart.

Deleting some old email didn't cure the problem.
The preview pane does'nt show the email either, it just appears as blank.
It's a though Outlook is trying to do something in the background, I'm going to try and delete the .pst file and reinstall it, maybe that helps

I find Outlook runs like a dog if I set my email up as IMAP.

Due to me only using 1 PC I use a POP account and all is fine, but my wife's account practically crashes Outlook. Discovered this was to as I'd accidentally set hers up as an IMAP account.
