Afternoon Everyone,

On this gloriously sunny day I'm at a bit of a loose end, I have just installed Outlook 2007 on a few machines and put in our signature.

It all works fine until we want to spell check the emails before sending them.

I have made several test emails with deliberate spelling mistakes that the spell checker should pick up on and report, but its not seeing them at all.

I feel it has something to do with the signature we're using. Currently it has a header and a footer (where most signatures I see these days are footer only), which we put our email in between, and I think doing this is whats causing the problem, but I dont know how to get the spell checker to check the signature as well as the main text.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few posts about this floating around on search engines, it appears to be a bug with the initial release of this product. Have you run a windows update to get all bug fixes including Sp1 for Office 2007?

No but it is worth keeping in mind. I have however gotten around the problem. We have made a template in HTML and saved it in the stationary folder located here

%Systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Stationary

This lets us do what we want for now, although it means copying this file to everyones local machines!
