Im trying to solve this prob for my nextdoor neighbour, basically if you open up messages or click "new message" it come up with "Text formatting command is not available" message.

Ive kind of fixed it by creating a new profile in the windows xp control panel>mail, but now it happens when it feels like it, and Im running out of ideas:confused:

Hey its just happened again, I doubled clicked on a email,,,,,,,,and reinstalling dont work so people say on the net. Any ideas guys, as I can only think of 1 idea atm and thats reformatting?

Ah Could it be memory related as he has years worth of emails, Ive just done a export on his emails and it comes to over 3gb?

Had a quick look around, seems its related to IE (since it uses IE to display html). try reinstalling that before the hassle of format :)

Thanks, I did that a few hrs ago, and outlook been working fine and I thought it had fixed it, but a few mins ago bang, messege pops up again.. so its reformatting now I think... dammit:mad:

Ok guys, Ive reformatted, imported the emails back and its working,, but then he mentions about the rules and blocks he has setup in outlook. the import hasnt included these, but before I formatted I made a image of the drive. So guys is there anyway to restore the rules from the image Ive made?

Im thinking to backing up the image of the new install and restoring the old install to export the rule, then restoring the new install back.. But knowing my luck windows wont boot or something if I get restoring images. GOD IM P***ED OF
