Hi All,

I wonder if anybody can help? I have just procured a copy of Office 2010 though our microsoft VLC agreement. I have several Acer and HP machines which have biometric fingerprint readers and have been trying to get outlook working on just one of these. Now the problem.... with the biometric device and software installed Outlook hangs on startup with the message

"Looking for credential tiles"

If I remove the biometric software & device I can get past this step and load up Outlook, however I use the Biometric for saving all of my passwods to several servers, sql server and many many more things. On top of this the 60 or so machines in my domain also have bio devices so it is my intention to find some kind of walk around.

Things I have tried :-

Removed biometric software and device - Outlook works.
Removed just the device - Outlook fails to load.
remove just the software - Outlook fails to load.

Removed both software packages, loaded up outlook and configured. As i install the bio device I hit problems. Now here is the strange thing, I thought that this must be an issue with the acer bio software on my 5942g so I whipped out a Lenovo T60.... Same problem (well very similar but just no load) hardly supprising as the simpliest thing on a bloated lenovo can result in a nightmare, however on top of this the same applies with the HP bio device and software.

For information the operating system on the acer is Windows 7 Business X64, the lenovo is on xp and the HP, well thats Vista so this appears to be a full house.

I am at a loss... any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Quick update - It appears that there is some kind of problem with bio devices and running outlook in "Cashed Exchange mode".

If I remove all accounts and set the same exchange account up, but without cashed exchange it appears to work.

This is all very strange....
