So, I'm no exchange expert, far from it. However I have had to go on a crash course due to our echange guy flat out denying the issue I am having with a bunch of users being anything more than local errors.
So, I have a hand full of users, who normally all share the same 10 or so shared mailboxes. All with full access (granted via powershell command) and mostly with send on behalf of rights.
Now, outside of this handful of users, there are other users with the exact same permissions.
Now, for example, I will use one user out of the problem handful. The error is Outlook hanging for a extended period of time until it responds. You can close it via tskmngr. There are no event logs other than application hang. This started when one of the 2 exchange guru's deleted one of the shared mailboxes in error and restored them via AD recycle bin. They have had nothing but problems with the mailbox since now.
So, to try and resolve this. These are the fixes I have applied to one select user as a guinie pig:
Removing ALL shared mailboxes
Removing ALL shared calanders
Removing ALL mailbox permissions
Removing ALL send on behalf of permissions
Re profile outlook locally
Remove and delete outlook .ost files (whole local folder infact, allowing the machine to rebuild it)
A brand new, freshly built machine, with her roaming profile disabled before logging into it
User re profile locally on old machine and new
Removing ALL add ins
Nothing I do will resolve the issues. The only thing I have not yet tried is to simply delete and re create her account (including the exchange account).
Thoughts? I would rather see the back of this, simply because the 3rd liner is being a right **** about it and simply not accepting the issue as a much higher problem than a local machine. That suddenly happened to 5 people, at the same time, as a mailbox was deleted, and not resolvable by replacing said local machine.
