Hi all,

I use Microsoft Outlook 2010 to access my virgin media emails.

Is there a setting so outlook can download my emails so that they wont appear when I also sign in to my emails through a webpage, as at the moment its just copying the emails?

Thanks

Go on the account within outlook and there should be more settings option, click it. Once in there, go to Advanced and should be an option to store emails on server; Untick this so it doesnt leave a copy.
Can just follow the instructions below too:

a better solution is to see if they allow IMAP as a protocol instead of POP. IMAP will keep the webpage in sync with your outlook. This means if your PC hard drive crashes you have a copy online, it also means that read messages will show as read on the webpage, you can create folders to keep important messages... etc

some ISP's even provide MAPI access using MAPI over HTTPS... this is an even better solution

With the above in mind, I just found this on Virgin Media's site:
