Hi All

This is my first post so please be gentle with me.

Im having a problem when importing my NTL world emails to Outlook 2010, after i have deleted any i do not need and clear my deleted items the email will again bring the same emails back in to my deleted items.

Also there is a very annoying googlemail box as well which seems to keep all the emails i try and delete aswell.

Virgin Media are very unhelpful in this as thier website doesnt give a definate answer, and searching for any solutions comes up with nothing.

Help me please, any suggestions greatfully received.

I know i cant get rid of the All mail box in Outlook just need to know how i can stop deleted items being imported back in, the only way i can do it is by logging in to my emai; account and deleting them, which kind of defeats the object of using Outlook.

Is there a setting im missing at all
 
theres a setting in your ntl setting so that once your e-mails have been fetch it removes them from the server.
 
I just had a look for that it appears you cant do this on an IMAP account only a POP3 do you know if ther is a tool that lets you do it direct from outlook rather than having to log in each time
 
Ok i think i might have worked it out, i cant change the settings to delete mail from the server (something about it being a imap account) but in the settings there is an option to "move deleted items to the follwing folder on the server" select BIN in the google mail folder and it seems to sort it.

Ill let you know how it goes
