Anyone who uses Avast Anti-Virus, and is thinking of upgrading to Outlook 2013 or just starting out for the first time with Outlook and getting a copy of 2013 (rather than 2010) when it's release to the public.
There appears to be an incomparability between the two at the moment that causes Outlook to crash out every time you try to send an email.
You might need to start Outlook first time in Safe-Mode (Windows Key +R, Outlook /Safe) then go into the Options - Add-Ins and click GO next to 'Manage COM Add-ins' and take the tick out of 'Avast! Addin' to disable it!!
If yours works without this... more power to ya!... but if not then hopefully this will fix it for you!!
There may even be a way to stop it happening within Avast, or Avast/Microsoft may get an update soon to fix this problem!
