Outlook 2016, email looks like code

in outlook 2016 emails are comign in looking like they are code (lots of lines of text and radom gobbledeygook)

any ideas what this can be. ?

its ok on laptop with outlook 2013
 
I know what you mean but I'm not sure how to change it in 2016. If you google how to switch between text and html email view or something along those lines it should point you in the right direction.
 
had to uninstall and re install office to solve it

didnt seem to be a setting but some sort of corruption
 
update in case anyone else has it..

after a fresh install it worked fine unti lwindows did an update and then the problem returned.

i tried to downgrade to office 2013 but it wouldnt let me and took microsoft many hours or remote support to manage to do so

not sure what the problem is but outlook 2016 had some issues with a particular email provider which is fixed by going back to 2013.
