Outlook 2016 search broken

Hi all,

Had one of our accounts say they couldn't search their emails in Outlook 2016 last week, tried rebuilding the index etc, no joy. Head of legal said the same thing on Friday and this morning I can't on mine.

None of the usual search results are working.

Anyone know if there is an issue with this? maybe a borked Windows update?

I find it hard to believe that 3 separate machines have had pst corruption in a week.

Issue with an update, few of our customers reported it, tried the same fixes you have and only fix we found that work was a system restore back to before the update went on.

That's what I guessed, had similar issues with printer options in office 8 months ago and then win 10 losing internet connections. Thanks for confirming.

It seems the accountant had an update this morning that fixed the issue but now there's something running in the background constantly pushing HDD use up to 100%. next issue to solve then

We're having this problem too. Outlook 2016 via Office 365. I've just rolled back to the previous update (via cmd) and it's fixed it.

It's on the Current Channel - is it easy to switch to the Deferred Channel? I think this may be better as the updates have a habit of being a nightmare.
