Outlook alternatives

hi people i was just looking through outlook today looking at my mail ect...
i guess i was wouldering is there any other programs that do the same thing as outlook express but better?

http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/ tbh. Brilliant OE killer and the junk mail controls itself are the best feature imo.

Years ago before outlook even existed. . . :eek:

I used to use http://www.eudora.com/ not sure what the later versions are like etc but may be worth a try ?

Eudora is the daddy and the new search function is the fastest I have ever seen in an email client. It has an extremely good spam filter, you can set up your own custom rules and it has phishing protection. Nothing comes close, it is so good you can live with the butt ugly UI.

I dumped Eudora for Thunderbird because of the UI. I just couldn't stand it any longer after 2 years of using it. when I saw Thunderbird I had to change. Never regretted it, just wish the Eudora peeps would start copying other programs UIs!!

Another vote to Thunderbird! im really impressed with the spam filter.

Firefox, Thunderbird, Media Player Clsssic, IrfanView image viewer/editor, Star Office (or Corel WordPerfect Office for a 'bought' product), File Seeker, Open Expert, Jens File Editor for a basic text editor. Real Player Alternative is less invasive than the 'Real' thing.
You'll still need Windows though.
