When we still had Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000 we could set a distribution list as the owner of a mailbox. This meant that you could make the user the owner of the distribution list and the members of that distribution list all had access to the group mailbox (dependent on the level of access granted to the d-list).
I'm not a mail administrator any more so I can't test this, but as a user (on Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2k3 SP2) I requested that a new d-list be set up and made owner of the group mailbox. The d-list has been set up but the permissions are not being replicated around (and I don't believe it has been set as the owner to be honest, but I don't have admin on that domain to check).
Is there any other way to dynamically manage group membership? I don't want to have someone have to go to every mailbox folder individually and add the whole team!
