Outlook calendar scripted import

We've got an application here with some basic calendar funtionality built in which integrates with various other modules within the system.

I'd really love to integrate this with the users outlook calendars - getting the data out isnt a problem, I can probably create .csv calendar items fairly simply, but is there anyway of scripting an import into the users calendars or sending a meeting request? Exchange 07 and Outlook 03 if that makes a difference

Presume the vbs has to run on the exchange server?
