Outlook Contacts imap

Hi,

i've got a client who's removed his imap email account from Outlook and re-added it as the emails weren't sending/receiving.

Upon doing this the contacts have gone completely (imap/local contacts only).

I've had a look around and can't find anything to recover?

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Which email service is it? If if offers a web UI, can they see the contacts on there?

It's BT and no contacts on the web

If the contacts list on the web is blank, then that means they weren't properly saved to the account, so nothing for Outlook to grab.
