Hi,

I have Outlook 2010 installed on my PC, and my CPU usage stays constant at around 30%. I've narrowed this down to Outlook, and have disabled all add-ins, however this has not helped. I use google apps sync so this might be the problem, however looking online other people have this problem also.

Any solutions anyone?

Thanks

How often does it search for new emails? Maybe its constantly trying to search? Not sure how outlook works as I use OSx with Mail, but on that you can change the frequency of mail searches

Can't seem to see that option :( I can't see a correlation between the sync and the CPU usage anyway, it seems there constantly while outlook is open

From a quick google it appears as though the way most people solved it was by upgrading outlook :(

Could it be that you've got a huge number of emails stored that its trying to access all at the same time?

Several topics appear to talk about a large .pst file (whatever that is?) as well as making sure to disable all add-ons
