I have just invested in a Mac and am trying to set up my work exchange in Outlook. I have put the server details in and it has accepted and connected. It has downloaded all my inbox folders and I can send emails to people/search the directory.

However, after it says it has downloaded emails/calendar/contacts, it doesn't actually show any individual emails/calendar events/contacts. I just have a blank space in the inbox. It works for my Gmail, so I know it's not a problem there.

I have tried using the Mac email program and it does the same, except it displays really old email headers, but not the body and the most recent emails.

Any idea why this is? It's most weird??? I've tried resyncing/clearing cache of folders etc.

This would be Outlook 2011 right? (Not Entourage 2008 as that won't do Exchange over Exch 2003)

Did you use the automatic configuration method? (it asks for email address and password then does the rest for you)

How long have you left it connected? I ask because with Apple Mail it does exactly what you mention (shows really old emails) but given enough time it will finally start showing more recent ones before at some point getting them all.
