Outlook Exchange Server Locally

Hi,

At work we're currently using Google Apps to host our mail server. However, we do have a work server and what we require is the ability to control mail boxes centrally in the same way that google apps allows. Apps is actually perfect for us but we're wondering whether there's an alternative that we can install on our local server which does the same job? Any help would be massively appreciated.

You want to move from Google Apps to Exchange?

I wouldn't recommend it unless you employ an experience Exchange admin.

Server spec needs to be taken into consideration, redundancy, etc.

I assume you are using outlook, have a look at Office 365 Plan P1 or hosted exchange.

You will require a lot more overheads. It's not an easy task to administrate an Exchange server.
