Hi,

is there any way to backup/export *message rules* from outlook express?

I've got quite a complex set done and its a pain to keep redoing after a clean format. I'm quite good with OE, I can backup my messages, folders, address book and accounts no problem, but I don't see how you can do this for *message rules*?

Thanks in advance :)

I have no solution but how often are you doing a clean format ?

Something like thunderbird will have a profile folder, which would probably store your rules and the like in it. Maybe a switch in mail client if you intend to reformat often

Pretty sure that the rules are stored in the registry. You'll need to find the key and back that up. No option in Outlook Express to do it directly.

Thanks Fishman and ns400r for replies,

I don't see the need to change mail client just for that function, so I will follow ns400r's lead and have a snOOp around the registery or dig deep into gOOgle to see what I can find, thanks anyway! :)

Thanks ns400r (also t31os & Rambaud) went with the reg option, quick and easy! :)
