Okay, let me explain.

We have 1 Internet email account with 2 mail boxes e.g. user1 and user2. Each user has their own identifty within Outlook Express.

Is there a way to provent the email for both users going to the first identity that is opened?

Many thanks.

Make sure that each user has a separate mailbox at the ISP.

Having two email addresses isn't the same.
What details does each user have set in the account options?
The account name is usually different to differentiate between mailboxes.

As said, ideally have two mailboxes. I used to do what you're suggesting with different identities.

You make a rule for each identity that says 'if mail to: [email protected] then leave on server'. Worked well, but it's still not ideal.

There's 1 account number. This account number has 2 seperate email addresses - effectively the mail for these 2 addresses must be going to a single mailbox. Therefore, as soon as the client connects to the POP3 server mail is downloaded for both recipients.

The suggestion to "leave mail on server for user 2" when accessing user 1's profile and "leave mail on server for user 1" when accessing user 2's profile worked a treat.

I guess the best the option would be to have 2 completely seperate accounts but the above seems to work adequately.

Thanks for the help lads!
