Outlook Express (weird problem hope you can help)

Outlook express has worked fine for me today but come 3pm when i came to open it up all my emails have gone missing in all folders such as sent items, deleted items, and inbox, just wondering what are the causes of this as i use avast pro and also i cant understand as this is the first time this has ever happen to me is there any recovery software? i already tried a system restore but that didnt do owt for me using outlook express 6 btw build into xp pro

The "Folder View" has gone or Folders are there but Mails inside are gone ?

the folders are there but the mail inside them has gone, hope you can help

Weird but try File Scavenger to recover Mails (should be fine with Free use as small files).

Do the Full search and also look for Deleted Files IMO (longer but best results and I think that's how its worded but I'm sure you can work it out).

Cut down results/time by only searching for the Outlook Express File Extension.
