is it possible to copy the *.pst file from outlook express onto disk then onto another machine and import into outlook express

does it have to be from outlook express into outlook,

as have done the address book, then contacts etc way before, thought *.pst did all of it easily

and where is the *.pst file located

Standard windows files and settings transfer wizard will do the job.

.pst file located:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

username is your username!

In XP and win 2000, Vista its users etc

Outlook Express DOESN'T use .pst files.

oh didnt know that what does express use

take it its only outlook that use pst files

It stores the messages in .dbx files.

In Outlook Express, click Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store Folder.
The files in that location are your messages.
These can be copied and transferred to a similar locaton on a second system .
Account details can be copied/saved using the Export Account option from within Outlook Express>Accounts
