Outlook is it possible to set up your outlook with more than one mail account?

E.g I have a yahoo account I use for work related emails and a hotmail account I use for pretty much everything else.

Currently I have outlook set up using my yahoo account.

Is it possible to set up both my accounts with outlook?

Is this even desirable - i mean i kept seperate accounts for a reason - to avoid my important mail getting cluttered up with everyday junk. If I added the hotmail account into outlook would the mail from each account be merged?

yes you can use more than one account with outlook

it depends how you set it up as to whether or not emails merge. if you use imap then no they won't

I have my hotmail and gmail account all synced to my outlook. Outlook treats them as 2 separate accounts.

I didn't think Hotmail supported IMAP, although the screenshot above suggests otherwise. Yahoo definitely doesn't, at least at present.

If you set up both accounts as POP3, I guess it would be pretty trivial to create rules in Outlook so that incoming and outgoing mails were directed into separate folders for each account.

I've got 2 Hotmail accounts, one Exchange and one POP account setup in one Outlook profile - works fine.
