Outlook keeps asking for access to address book

I have office XP, norton 2005 and whenever I reply to an e-mail or create a new e-mail I get a pop up stating that 'a programme it trying to access your address book - do you want to allow access?'. I then have a little drop down box offering access for 1 min 2 min, 5 mins 10 mins etc.

I am mystified why this is appearing on this build - how can I ensure outlook always has access to the address book in outlook?, is this an outlook feature or a norton feature?

That sounds like Norton firewall.

See if you can always allow access for Outlook from within the firewall configuration screens.
