Guys I really need some help with this. It's stupid but I'd reformat because of it if I couldn't find a solution.

Basically I installed an app called Jeyo Mobile Extender that's meant to sync the text messages off of my PDA with outlook. The app seems buggy so I decided to uninstall it. The trouble is even though it's uninstalled, it's left an a menu item between "Actions" and "Help" at the top of my Outlooks window called "SMS".

I can't work out where it's getting SMS menu item from and google isn't being helpful. I've check my Outlook folders date modified bits and there's nothing obvious in there.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try going to Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced Options -> Add-In Manager. Is there anything in there that looks like it may be the uninstalled software?

I should have added that I'm running Outlook 07 under Vista. I can drill down to advanced options but I don't have add-in managers.

I'm assuming the equivalent under Vista is Trust Center but I see no reference to the uninstalled app there at all.

Installed add-ins are stored in the extend.dat file located in -

Code:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

Customized toolbar settings are stored in the Outcmd.dat file located in -

Code:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roamingl\Microsoft\Outlook\

Try renaming each of the files and see if the menu is removed.

You're a star. Found a cmd file in the roaming section that cotained references to the app. Deleted it and the menu item has dissapeared.

Thanks!
