Evening all!
My Hotmail Live subscription is just about to expire and I'm replacing it with my own mail server
Hours of painstaking labour have got everything set up nicely, pop3, imap4, smtp the works. However, I'm now faced with a new problem; whereas Hotmail Live used to synchronise all of my contacts, calender and tasks for me between my PC and my Laptop (good ol' MAPI), my mail server (Ability Mail Server 2) doesn't.
I've been trying to think of different ways to circumvent this problem and have come up with the following ideas:
1) Keep my .pst file on a penstick
2) Fork out for MS Exchange Server - I'm skint so thats not really an option
3) Use a combination of POP3 and IMAP for email and use my PDA to sync calender, contacts and tasks.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
