Outlook Notify

I have Outlook set to show the desktop alert when new emails are received, but for some reason it does not show this when incoming mail is automatically sorted into folders...

How can I still make it flash up?

If you check your "Rules and Alerts", edit the rule you want an alert for. Then click Next so it says "Step 1: Select action(s)".... at the bottom of this there is a "display a Desktop Alert" option.

Never tried it, but it sounds like what you are after.
