Last week we changed our email domain to reflect us becoming a ltd company.

However since then some Outlook 2010 users are unable to set their Out Of Office through Outlook getting "Your Automatic Reply Settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later". Trying it through OWA works fine.

I enabled logging in Outlook and can see that when attempting to enable Automatic Replies Outlook sends the old domain name to Exchange which replies quite clearly that it needs the primary SMTP address. However I can't see anyway of setting this in Outlook.

I ran a repair in Account Settings, I've checked that AutoDiscover is working (it is) and I've setup a new profile and it correctly sets everything up and that works ok.

Any ideas?! :(

What happens if you do the Outlook Autodiscover test?

With Outlook open, hold left ctrl and right click the outlook icon next to the clock. Click the menu option for Test Autodiscover or something to that effect.

When the window pops up, but in your new email address and user details, uncheck the GuessSmart options and run the test. Confirm that you get results returned.

Yer that works fine, as I say if I create a new Outlook profile it sets up correctly it just doesn't seem to update the existing Outlook 2010 profiles. Outlook 2007 users seem unaffected.

I presume that the Exchange server or System attendant service has been restarted? Doubt it will help with it only affecting 2010 users.

I think it's managed to sort it self out, nobody has been reporting issues and mine has suddenly fixed itself.

Did take a few days though so not sure what the cause was...
